Ford teams up with innovative gaming hub to inspire young gamers

Ever wanted to be a professional gamer, but don’t know where to start? Two former Italian footballers, Christian ‘Bobo’ Vieri and Bernardo Corradi, have come up with an answer; the PLB World entertainment hub in Milan, Italy.

PLB (Power, Leadership, Balance) was born in 2020 when the pair decided to use their sporting and professional experience to develop a model of "Healthy Gaming” for young gamers. This meant finding the tools, knowledge, support, visibility and opportunities for young talents to not only embark on a professional path but to also allow for personal growth too, ensuring inclusivity for all in the process.

In January 2023, this took another step with the opening of the PLB World hub in Milan, a new focal point for PLB’s mission.  This innovative space of more than 700 m2 will host computer gaming, simulators, gaming and streaming stations for training and entertainment activities. On March 8th, 2023 our colleagues in Italy announced our official partnership with PLB World, to not only support the team with electrified vans but to also using our own gaming experience to help their mission.

We’ve already used gaming as part of our ‘W Track’ initiative to help women break into esports and motorsports, and taken Vanzilla to visit young cancer patients in Italy. Across Europe our own Team Fordzilla already boasts incredible young gamers, including Spanish wonderkid Abel Torres, and our Italian members and colleagues will be announcing some great projects at the PLB World hub in the near future. Until then, if you’re in Milan, stop by and see what your future in esports could look like.
