Watch youngest Team Fordzilla champion jump from virtual racetracks to real ones

At just 9-years old Abel Torres became our youngest ever Team Fordzilla member. Even at that tender age his natural talent was clear to see, regularly competing and beating older and more experienced e-sports racers, with car control way beyond his years.

To prove the point further, at 10-years old he was crowned Gran Turismo Spanish Championship champion, beating more than 800 adult and more experienced racers. He also won the another high-profile championship in Spain, racing against drivers of all ages.

A new five part documentary series, made with Sony PlayStation, follows Abel’s story and charts his progress as he finds out whether his virtual racing skills can translate to the real-world Spanish Karting Championship. His debut season in 2021 put him up against 30 much more experienced drivers. Spoiler alert; his skills definitely do translate.

Now 13-years old, the Team Fordzilla driver isn’t one to watch out for in the future. His time is now and we can’t wait to support him, along with Sony Playstation, as he takes on the Spanish Karting Championship again with the Monlau Karting Team.
