Mustang Mach-E Rally is ready to hit the trail

Earlier this summer we gave car fans a first look at a new type of Ford electric vehicle (EV) when our Mustang Mach-E Rally was revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Now we’re revealing more information about our first-ever rally-inspired EV, which will be available to order from early 2024.

For example, it’s our first vehicle ever to feature a special RallySport Drive Mode, 1 designed to help drivers take the freedom and fun of Mustang onto dirt roads.

Its two-motor powertrain 2 is targeting at least 880 Nm of torque and 358 kW of power. 3, 4

Unique suspension has been raised 20 millimetres over the Mustang Mach‑E GT and has specially tuned springs and MagneRide® shock absorbers. 5

It will grip loose surfaces and stop like a rally-inspired vehicle should, with 385‑millimetre front brake discs with red-painted Brembo®-branded callipers, 6 as well as specially selected tyres.

And we built a whole new rally course at our Michigan Proving Ground, US, to develop and test it.

Revealed without camouflage for the first time at IAA Mobility in Munich, Germany, the Mustang Mach-E Rally’s unique styling is now clear to see, including gloss white 19‑inch rally-style alloy wheels, a dramatic rear spoiler, unique body mouldings and rally-inspired fog lights.

Hidden out of sight is extra underbody protection for dirt road adventures.

To demonstrate the capability of our first rally-inspired EV we teamed up with someone who knows a thing or two about handling loose surfaces: Savilia Blunk, cross-country mountain biking champion and member of the RockRider Ford Racing Team with five National titles and multiple top 15 World Cup finishes.
