Teaming up with Indiana Jones for our biggest adventure yet

Our new, all-electric Ford Explorer 1 combines German engineering with American style for an adventure-ready experience.

So it makes perfect sense to join forces with another legendary explorer – Indiana Jones – for our new ad campaign as the fifth instalment of the film franchise – Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny – reaches cinemas across Europe this summer.

Our TV ad sees Explorer embarking on its own cross-continental adventure, referencing the iconic imagery and celebrated music from the Indiana Jones series, as well as a cameo from a very familiar-looking silhouette.

Indiana Jones is a character who is rebellious, restless and uncompromising, which is exactly the spirit we are channelling with our new all-electric crossover. Want to feel like an explorer? Get the EV that says Explorer on the front.”

The ability to fast charge its all-electric powertrain from 10 to 80 per cent in just 25 minutes 2 helps make the five-seat family crossover the perfect vehicle for any keen adventurer.

Its SYNC Move 3 adjustable 15-inch touchscreen can be raised and lowered through an arc of more than 30 degrees to conceal My Private Locker storage – ideal for keeping treasure maps away from prying eyes. The 17-litre MegaConsole is large enough to hold a 15-inch laptop – or the spoils of a successful expedition.

To prove its capabilities, travel adventure influencer Lexie Alford – known to millions online as Lexie Limitless – will undertake a round-the-world journey in an all-electric Ford Explorer later this year.

“This collaboration with Ford is a great fit on so many levels, and showcases how our world-class storytelling can work hard for flagship brands here in EMEA. Both brands stand for adventurous spirit and by linking the two iconic explorers – Ford’s new all-electric and Indiana Jones himself – we’ve created a campaign that will really catch the eye with consumers across the region.”
