New Puma ST Powershift fuses fun-to-drive and electrified technology

Combining driving fun with compact SUV practicality was the main objective when we developed our Puma ST. 1 Now we’ve gone a step further, using clever technologies to create a version that’s accessible for even more drivers.

Our new Puma ST Powershift 2 introduces the most powerful version ever of our multi-award-winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, adding 48-volt mild hybrid technology for 170 PS power and improved fuel efficiency.

We’ve also added our seven-speed Powershift gearbox, which makes light work of city or stop-start driving with automatic gear-changes, while also featuring paddle shifters behind the steering wheel so drivers can take control when they want.

You still get all the same features that make the original Puma ST so much fun to drive, including Drive Modes to change the steering and acceleration response, plus high-specification suspension for sharp responses and cornering.

Head-turning looks also remain standard, boosted by a new ST-exclusive Azura Blue colour option and 19-inch alloy wheels. Eye-catching Ford Performance bumpers, rear spoiler and diffuser aren’t just for show – they increase aerodynamic performance too.

There’s no compromise in practicality either. Puma ST Powershift features the innovative MegaBox – a space below the boot floor that means the versatile SUV is capable of carrying two sets of golf clubs standing upright in the boot.

1 Puma ST 1.5-litre EcoBoost homologated CO2 emissions 149-155 g/km WLTP, homologated fuel efficiency 6.6-6.8 l/100 km WLTP.

CO2 emission and fuel efficiency ranges may vary according to vehicle variants offered by individual markets.

The declared WLTP fuel/energy consumptions, CO2-emissions and electric range are determined according to the technical requirements and specifications of the European Regulations (EC) 715/2007 and (EU) 2017/1151 as last amended. The applied standard test procedures enable comparison between different vehicle types and different manufacturers.
