Technology has helped deliver more and more personalised services to make our lives easier; from social media feeds, to online playlists, and even our ideal exercise and sleep regimes. Now, we’re bringing that approach to vehicles with Ford Telematics Essentials.

 

It’s the latest development of FORDLiive, our intelligent system designed to boost customers’ productivity by keeping their vehicles on the road and speeding up servicing and repairs.

 

Just like a social media feed or fitness tracker, Ford Telematics Essentials turns key data into personalised, easy‑to‑read updates. 1 This helps fleet managers find convenient times for servicing their vehicles, and alerts them to upcoming maintenance that could help prevent breakdowns from happening at all. Real‑time vehicle health feeds 2 could cut the time our customers’ vans spend off the road by up to 60 per cent. 3

 

We’re so confident in this remote monitoring that we’re actually removing the need for an annual inspection on newly-built Transit and Transit Custom vans and our Ranger pick-up. 4 Instead, Ford Telematics Essentials will send fleet managers tailored alerts when their vehicles need attention.

 

These new benefits are available via FORDLiive for every Ford connected commercial vehicle – there are already over 500,000 on Europe’s roads, and we expect to have over a million at work by the middle of next year.
