Team Fordzilla @gamescom 2020
Since 2017 we’ve had an official presence at gamescom, Europe’s largest computer and video games fair, and we’re back again for 2020. This year though, it’s all a little different as the whole event takes place digitally.
In previous years we’ve explored the link between real-world racing and racing online (2017), were the first auto maker to launch a new vehicle at a gaming event with the Ranger Raptor (2018) and last year we announced the creation of our first-ever esports team; Team Fordzilla.
Before that, we set a Guinness World Record for the ‘longest video marathon on a racing game’ during gamescom week in 2016, and in 2015 we worked with the Forza Motorsport franchise to promote the fact our Ford GT supercar was the licenced vehicle for the sixth instalment of the game.
So, we’ve been busy and, while we’ll miss meeting gaming fans in person this year, we’re making sure there’s still plenty to get excited about for gamers joining the three-day digital event.
Angelo Bülow, Team Fordzilla Germany captain.
“The Team Fordzilla mantra is ‘race hard and have fun’ and we’ll be doing plenty of that at gamescom this year. But we’re also announcing a few things that should excite the gaming community and also underscore our on-going commitment to them.”
Join us at the Opening Night Live event on August 27th (https://www.gamescom.global/gamescom-now/) to be amongst the first to hear our exciting Project P1 news and stay tuned for the following days for the chance to win a race against a celebrity, gaming prizes and to see who will be crowned the Fordzilla Cup champion.
Head to https://www.twitch.tv/teamfordzilla to follow the fun.
