Chasing golden moments in Ford's Transit Custom Nugget

As the clocks change and bring darkness to us earlier in the evenings, one pair of adventurers took an epic tour into Norway as they chased the last of the summer light.

James Forrest and Nic Hardy took on the expedition to see Europe’s tallest vertical climb, the 5,500 feet Trollveggen (or Troll Wall), while looking to reignite their love for friluftsiv, or ‘open-air living’.

Their journey started at Alesund from where they travelled to a wild beach at Gødoya before heading across the Atlantic Ocean Road to the island of Sekken and then on to Trollstiggen.

Along the way they climbed, kayaked, cycled and walked around the breathtaking fjords and mountains of Norway, using Ford's Transit Custom Nugget as their travelling companion and home as they camped under starry night skies.

James of the adventure.
“Things didn’t go quite to plan but then, in some ways, that’s what makes trips like this more enjoyable. I guess that’s the beauty of traveling in this way, with everything we need with us to survive, relax and explore. Pure freedom.”
