All-New Ranger PHEV offers perfect pitch for campers



The all-new Ranger Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) 1 now complements the ruggedness that customers expect with electric-only driving – as well as full towing capacity, 2 and a payload of up to one tonne. 3




But one new feature that will catch the eye of everyone from those working on site to campers is Pro Power Onboard. 4
 
This new-to-Ranger feature means there’s no longer any need to hook up to a separate generator in order to power devices and equipment. Simply let the Ranger’s main battery do the job. For example, campers could recharge phones, keep the music playing and even power the TV.

Customers have the first opportunity to see the Ranger PHEV at IAA 2024 in Hanover, Germany, a huge trade fair that showcases what is happening now and in the future for commercial vehicles including vans.




Visitors to the show can also see a Transit range that now offers an electric version of our small, medium and large vans, including the compact E-Transit Courier, 5,6 that goes further, charges faster 7 and has more space compared with the previous Transit Courier.
 
Connected data is at the heart of Ford Pro, and a pop-up FORDLiive data centre, in Hanover, demonstrates how we are reducing downtime to help keep vehicles on the road by enabling fleets and drivers to monitor vehicles in real-time, identify issues, and potentially avoid problems altogether.
