Ford BlueCruise hands-free driving hits the highways of Europe

Our level 2 “hands-off, eyes-on” advanced driver assistance system, BlueCruise1, has already been used and enjoyed by Mustang Mach-E owners in Germany, Great Britain and Spain for a while. Now, following approval by the European Commission2, BlueCruise is approved for use in a total of 15 European countries which opens up 133,000 kilometres (82,744 miles) of designated highways, called Blue Zones.

That means, for example, a customer could now use BlueCruise across six countries travelling from Sweden down to Italy, covering almost 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) and spending 25+ hours driving hands-free.

BlueCruise is now also the most widely available system of its kind in Europe, available and approved for our customers to purchase on all new Mustang Mach-E vehicles sold in a total of 18 European countries, and 20 countries globally. Additionally, current owners with earlier model year Mustang Mach-E vehicles in select countries will be eligible to receive a software update in the future to activate BlueCruise.3

We offer a 90-day free trial to experience how BlueCruise can make long drives or stop-and-go traffic more enjoyable and less stressful, and following the free trial, you can activate an annual or monthly subscription, which can be cancelled or renewed at any time. This monthly subscription model makes it easy to activate BlueCruise at a time that suits your driving plans.
