Ford innovation recognised at annual awards
Innovation has been at our core for the last 120 years and a recent award highlights the fact that’s still very much the case today. In a rapidly evolving automotive industry, we’re constantly looking at ways to bring new technologies to life that genuinely benefit customers, so it was great news to be recognised as the ‘Most Innovative Volume Brand 2023’ at last night’s AutomotiveINNOVATIONS Awards.
We also scooped top honours in the ‘Autonomous & ADAS’ and ‘Connected Car Services’ categories on the way to the overall win, with technologies like BlueCruise and SYNC’s cloud-based navigation cited for special mention.
The awards, created by the Centre of Automotive Management and PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH and last won by us in 2014, judged innovations from 29 global automotive groups representing more than 80 brands. In total, 1,088 innovations were considered during the judging process for the 2023 awards. Ford received an overall score of 91.2 points, ahead of second-placed VW (82.0 points) and third-placed Toyota (64.6 points).
