Expect big productivity from our compact new electric van

As growing number of cities in Europe limit access for diesel vehicles and more of us begin to consider the footprint of our spending, businesses are increasingly turning to electric vans to help limit their environmental impact. In fact, our recent report with Reuters found over half of respondents will buy an electric van in the next two years.

E-Transit Courier 1 is the most recent addition to Ford Pro’s all-electric Transit family. Alongside the larger E-Transit and E-Transit Custom, this new van is our latest part in Ford’s $50+ billion global push to lead the EV revolution.

A no-compromise electric powertrain features a 136 PS electric motor for smooth and responsive zero tailpipe emission driving. We expect many buyers to recharge overnight at home, so a 10-100 per cent charge takes less than a good night’s sleep – 5.7 hours. 2

If businesses need a quick top-up on the job, they can add up to 87 km of range in just 10 minutes using a fast charger 2 – ideal while contacting the next customer or grabbing a coffee.

Managing E-Transit Courier’s charging and security is easier than ever. Our new van is fully connected to our Ford Pro charging and software services, so owners can see charge reports, check remaining range, receive maintenance alerts and remotely secure the van. New alarm systems and optional extra locks help to protect the van and its valuable contents for more peace of mind.

A clean-sheet new design delivers 25 per cent more cargo space and over 100 kg more payload than the outgoing Transit Courier. 3 The load area is now wider, which improves access and means the van can take two standard-sized cargo pallets instead of just one.

A clever load flap and folding passenger seat enable E-Transit Courier to carry ladders, pipes and other items over 2,600 mm long.

There’s more smart thinking in the cabin. We know that drivers of compact vans often carry a laptop, paperwork, chargers, drinks and snacks, so E-Transit Courier’s interior features plenty of configurable storage space. Two 12-inch screens and connectivity from our clever SYNC 4 infotainment system 4 make seeing key information, controlling vehicle features and plotting routes or avoiding traffic simpler. 5

Ford designers also removed physical buttons and added a foldaway work surface to free up space and make the cab a comfy and productive workplace.

The all-new van is scheduled to enter production later in 2024 at Ford Otosan’s facility in Craiova, Romania.

1 Officially homologated driving range will be published closer to on-sale date. In accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). Published range (intended target value according to WLTP) can be achieved with a fully charged battery - depending on the existing series and battery configuration. The actual range may vary due to various factors (e.g. weather conditions, driving style, route profile, vehicle condition, age and condition of the lithium-ion battery).

2 Charge time based on manufacturer computer engineering simulations. The charging rate decreases as battery reaches full capacity. Your results may vary based on peak charging times and battery state of charge.

3 Max payload varies and is based on accessories and vehicle configuration. See label on doorjamb for carrying capacity of a specific vehicle.
4 Don’t drive while distracted or while using handheld devices. Use voice-operated systems when possible. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.

Navigation services require SYNC 4 and FordPass Connect, complimentary Connected Service and the FordPass app (see FordPass Terms for details). Eligible vehicles receive a complimentary 90-day trial of navigation services that begins on the new vehicle warranty start date. Customers must unlock the navigation service trial by activating the eligible vehicle with a FordPass member account. Annual service contract is required for connected navigation services. Connected service and features depend on compatible network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features.
