Mustang Mach-E serves an ace for drivers with reduced mobility

Our all-electric Mustang Mach-E has been scooping awards across the globe, combining sharp styling, impressive performance and offering up to 610 km WLTP pure-electric driving range1. It’s a vehicle we’re rightly proud of and now it’s hit another ace.

Through the Ford Adapta program – created jointly by Ford Spain, its Dealer Network and ONCE Foundation – we’ve converted a Mustang Mach-E to be our first 100 per cent electric vehicle designed for people with reduced mobility.

We revealed it last weekend on the International Day of People with Disabilities and handed the keys over to the vehicle’s inspiration, Cisco Garcia, a former lawyer who has become a professional wheelchair tennis star, Paralympian and author. It will join him as he travels from court-to-court inspiring others to never give up despite any obstacles that may be put in their way.

Featuring driving assistance, a grip and brake accelerator on the steering wheel, a transfer board for the driver and a Turny-Low electric swivel seat on the passenger’s seat, the special Mustang Mach-E shows just what’s possible for drivers with reduced mobility who want to join us in going electric.

1In accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). A range of up to 610 km (intended target value according to WLTP) can be achieved with a fully charged battery – depending on the existing series and battery configuration. The actual range may vary due to various factors (e.g. weather conditions, driving style, route profile, vehicle condition, age and condition of the lithium-ion battery).
