The word “pickup” may bring to mind rugged trucks hard at work on building sites and farms.

But for many pickup drivers, comfort and refinement are just as important as space in the load bed – especially for those who use their vehicles for work and play, or even purely to support their hobbies.

That’s why 60 per cent of customers who buy our Ranger pickup have opted for the premium specification Wildtrak version.

Now we’ve introduced an even more deluxe version of Europe’s top-selling pickup. 1 Called Ranger Platinum, it takes luxury to the next level.

Outside, its unique grille, silk chrome details and 20-inch machined-face alloy wheels are designed to turn heads.

Inside the five-seat double cab interior, leather trimming combines with open-grained, dark maple wood textures to dial up the opulence, alongside perforated and quilted leather seats. The front seats are also 10-way power-adjustable with heating and cooling.

Premium technologies include a soft-close tailgate, matrix LED headlamps and an eight-speaker B&O audio system. 2 High-tech dual 12-inch digital displays also feature; a full digital cluster ahead of the driver, alongside a portrait touchscreen controlling the powerful SYNC 4A infotainment system. 3

And don’t be fooled by the high specification; Ranger Platinum is still more than capable of getting its hands dirty. Our powerful and refined 240 PS 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine and 10-speed automatic transmission 4 mean the luxury pickup can carry more than 1 tonne in payload, 5 and tow up to 3,500 kg
