Say hello to the Next-Gen Ranger
Owners from farmers to families have
made the Ford Ranger Europe’s best‑selling pick-up, and it’s as comfortable
reaching remote fields or forests as it is taking children and their sports kit
to weekend matches. Now, we’re sharing the first details of our smartest,
strongest, most versatile Ranger yet.
To find out what customers really
want from their pick-ups, we conducted over 5000 interviews and dozens of
workshops. As a result, Ranger is loaded with smart technologies and useful
features to make every day easier.
For example, owners often climb
onto the rear tyres to load cargo, so Next‑Gen Ranger includes a step to help them
avoid treading on muddy tyres to get into the load bed. The tailgate is also
now a mobile work bench complete with clamps and rulers to help tradespeople
and DIY projects.
Customers also said pick-ups need
to look bold and tough, so our designers made it longer and wider than the
current model for a stronger look. A new grille, headlights and distinctive
C-shape daytime running lights enhance Next-Gen Ranger’s head-turning appeal.
Inside, we’ve blended comfort and
durability with a new portrait touchscreen, digital gauges and premium
soft-touch materials.
And because the pick-up will need to move heavy loads and cross demanding terrain, we’ve introduced a powerful V6 turbodiesel engine. Confident off‑road performance comes from a clever new all‑wheel drive system with a simple “set and forget” mode for grip in changing conditions.
