Transit Custom earns top honours for van safety

Vans work around the clock carrying heavy loads in all weathers, so we make our vans as safe as possible to help protect their drivers, cargo, and other road users.

We recently updated the standard safety technologies on the Transit Custom van – already Europe’s best-seller in its class 1 – and now it’s been given a maximum Gold rating by independent safety specialists Euro NCAP.

As our biggest Transit van has been Gold-rated since last year, we’re now the only van builder with two Gold awards.

We’re also introducing a new engine and clever features to make Transit Custom more practical and user‑friendly for businesses. Vans can have limited rear visibility, so our “smart mirror” helps drivers see more clearly behind them. 2 A split-height load floor and fixings in the roof can keep tools and loads secure, while stylish new Grey Matter paint is designed for businesses that want to create a classy first impression.

“Driver safety is a top priority for us and for our customers, so we design our vans to help every business protect their staff and help prevent accidents on the road.

“I’m delighted to see Euro NCAP’s recognition of Ford’s leadership in van safety as we take every opportunity to add value to our customers’ businesses.”
