Mustang Mach-E GT Makes Scents

We recently conducted a survey of drivers about what they’d miss most if they swapped their petrol car for an electric vehicle. While the sound of engines ranked highest, around one in five drivers said it was the smell of petrol they’d miss.

So, we decided to help petrol fans by producing a special fragrance, called ‘Mach-Eau’. Developed with a scent specialist, it uses ingredients like blue ginger, lavender and sandalwood to create something with smoky and rubbery accents reminiscent of the petrol smell so many love.

One splash of this and there’s one less barrier for petrol fans to get behind the wheel of our all-electric Mustang Mach-E GT where a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration time of 3.7 seconds and powertrain that supports the next level of our fun-to-drive experience can do the rest of the convincing.

We tested it out with visitors to the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed. Find out below what these car fans thought of it.
