S-MAX Hybrid Supports Busy Families – and Fewer Emissions

Most parents know that life for active families usually means lots of little trips – whether it’s the school drop off, taking children to clubs or just enjoying time out together.

But for those who also have an eye on their carbon footprint, our new S-MAX Hybrid can drive for short distances using purely electric power.1

Driving, braking and coasting all top up the battery and the hybrid engine can also combine electric and petrol power to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 10 per cent compared to the equivalent diesel model.2

The S-MAX Hybrid ensures there’s no compromise when it comes to space. Seats fold flat individually, allowing the interior to be quickly reconfigured for up to seven passengers, luggage or a combination of both, depending on the adventure.3

1. S-MAX Hybrid CO2 emissions 146-147 g/km and fuel efficiency 6.4 l/100 km WLTP (128-129 g/km, 5.6 l/100 km NEDC).
The declared fuel/energy consumptions, CO2-emissions and electric range are determined according to the technical requirements and specifications of the European Regulations (EC) 715/2007 and (EU) 2017/1151 as last amended. The applied standard test procedures enable comparison between different vehicle types and different manufacturers.
2. S-MAX Hybrid with 190 PS system power CO2 emissions 146-147 g/km WLTP overall compared to S-MAX 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel 190 PS FWD automatic CO2 emissions 165-168 g/km WLTP overall.
3. Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and weight distribution.
