Team Fordzilla Makes Competitive Debut in Le Mans Esports Series Two
We are entering our first competitive race, the Le Mans Esports series which kicks off this weekend November 30th at 19:00 UTC. We’re racing as one of the Pro Teams in the series along with a number of other strong teams.
We’re racing exclusively on Forza Motorsport 7 and the first race at a track that has a lot of rich history for Ford, the Circuit de la Sarthe. We are racing under the #66 number as homage to the famous win in 1966.
Since launching at Gamescom in August, we have launched four additional markets at a breakneck pace (with UK to come in December) and had no plans to really compete until 2020… But then a challenge was laid down by the Le Mans Esports official Twitter account and we couldn’t resist.
Hey @TeamFordzilla and @FerrariEsports - we'd love to know who's really quickest between you both on a virtual racetrack... So why not show us in @LeMansEsports whilst competing for a $200,000 prize pool. Pro Team Entries open until 7th November! https://t.co/XOfauH8jES pic.twitter.com/j7ZiTqjp0u— Le Mans Esports Series (@LeMansEsports) November 1, 2019
Working with three of our Team Fordzilla captains Donald Regineux (France), Jose Iglesias (Spain) and Angelo Bülow (Germany), we now have a stellar line up of professional Esports racers who will take on the series.
Those racers are Christian Popp (TFZ Chriz), Anthony Diel (TFZ Anto) and Miguel Molina (TFZ Kaiser).
Watch out for Team Fordzilla this weekend as we compete for the first time, you can follow every corner and overtake via the Le Mans Esports Series official channels and the hashtag #LMES.
