The Ford Mustang most widely shared car on Instagram
Previously we've written about arguably the most instagramable image and with one billion users stretching back from its launch in October 2010, Instagram has grown to become the place to go for pictures of everything from food, arty holiday snaps and just about anything else you could think of, including cars.
While #food, #summer and #love may be some of the most used hashtags, there is one car that has been hashtagged more than any other; the Ford Mustang.
The original muscle car, with it's latest anniversary rapidly approaching, launched in 1964. Since then enthusiasts have been loving Mustangs through all six generations. They’ve been more than happy to share their stories and according to Admiral Insurance in its Veygo magazine, lots of their photos too.
The Veygo study revealed tags for Ford Mustang have been used 11,947,872 times on Instagram, which averages around 3,800 times every day since Instagram started. That's around 4.5 million more than the next most tagged car.
