Ford's self-charging Mondeo hybrid gets bigger and better

Ford's Mondeo Hybrid uses a combination of electric and petrol power to keep fuel costs and emissions as low as possible, without needing to be plugged in to charge the battery.

And now the self-charging car is available as a wagon version, as well as the stylish four-door saloon. That means more space for carrying luggage with the rear seats in place, and more than 1,500 litres of room for big and bulky items with the rear seats folded.

Another benefit of our petrol-electric technology is that the Mondeo Hybrid can pull away silently using just electric power, making it very refined to drive — especially around town. New software now helps it accelerate even more smoothly.

Ford's whole Mondeo range has been given a stylish make-over inside and out, with smart new design and materials, plus advanced technologies that can even help drivers avoid speeding fines.
