If petrol power is more your thing then the Mustang GTD supercar is sure to set the pulses racing. The road-going Mustang that’s ready for the track, the Mustang GTD features active aerodynamics and a supercharged 5.2-litre V8 aiming for more than 800 PS 4.

The ultra lightweight and aerodynamic carbon fibre body produces over 1,995 kg of downforce at 240 km/h to keep it planted to the road, and will be using every kilo as it attempts to set a fast time.

Update after publishing: The Ford Electric SuperVan 4.2 emerged victorious at this year’s Goodwood Hillclimb Shootout. With Romain Dumas behind the wheel, it clinched the top spot with an impressive time of 43.978 seconds on the 1.16-mile track.
