New Ford Pro MS-RT models for Europe revealed

Two new MS-RT models are being added to our Ford Pro portfolio, offering an exciting, halo option for customers who need a commercial vehicle but also want to make a statement about their business. The all-new Transit Custom MS-RT and all-new Ranger MS-RT, the first Ford Pro MS-RT models to be available from Ford dealerships across Europe, not only have the eye-catching appeal to help customers make that statement during the work week, they also have the versatility to support their lifestyle at the weekend.

Both models maintain the respective strengths of our award-winning new generation of Transit Custom and Ranger models – including the productivity boosting software and services from Ford Pro – but add eye-catching design, exclusive interiors and other changes to make for an even more engaging drive.

The Transit Custom MS-RT, especially in the launch Yellow Green colour, guarantees attention with its race-inspired front-end styling and unique rear spoiler. Exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels are wider than any other Transit Custom wheel and help increase the overall track by more than 50mm, and along with Transit Custom’s independent rear suspension, it handles as brilliantly as it looks.

All-new ergonomic front seats with side bolsters for additional support and a sculpted sports steering wheel with blue 12 o’clock marker add to the sporty feel inside.  Available as part of a van or a crew cab layout, all seats are finished in non-animal Eco-Leather and suede, with MS-RT logos and blue stitching to remind you you’re sat somewhere special.

There’s a choice of powertrains too, including diesel (with optional AWD on the more powerful 170 PS model), PHEV and full electric. The full electric E-Transit Custom MS-RT is distinguishable by the coast-to-coast LED light strip between the headlights and comes with an exclusive 210 kW (285 PS) e-motor powering the rear wheels and offering smooth and highly responsive performance. It boasts the highest power output of any of our Transit Custom models to-date.

The Ranger MS-RT is designed to be the ultimate street truck. Wider arches over exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels help increase overall width by 82mm, with the track width increased by 40mm each side. Specially developed suspension also lowers the vehicle by 40mm, giving a more sporting stance and also providing greater handling precision and stability through corners.

Naturally there’s also a spoiler. In fact, there are two aerodynamically tested ones; a ducktail spoiler on the rear tailgate and a roof tip spoiler on the back of the cab, which is a Ranger first. The interior features all-new seats with more supportive bolsters and seat backs, finished in the same non-animal Eco-Leather and suede with distinctive MS-RT pattern and blue stitching that is in the Transit Custom MS-RT. Drivers also benefit from a heated, sculpted sports steering wheel with blue 12 o’clock marker and MS-RT branded inlay.

The two exclusive new models have been designed and engineered in a close collaboration between our global team and the specialists at MS-RT – an offshoot of our rally partner M-Sport – to deliver a unique combination of dramatic motorsport-inspired looks, enhanced driving experience and outstanding load carrying capability. Whichever one you go for, you won’t be disappointed.
