12 months of Ford 2022
What a year it has been! So
much excitement that has occurred;
New products, milestones,
fond farewells – my word.
Let us recap the best bits,
join us – all aboard;
Grab a seat and relax, we’re
back with 12 Months of Ford.
January
Showing we’re more than just
an automaker, that began making things that go vroom;
We gamified our all-electric
Mustang Mach-E, turning it into a mobile escape room.
A spy tasked with delivering
a package, complete the mission to be set free;
Your mission should you
choose to accept it, is to have fun in our Mustang Mach-E.
Then, we assessed the habits
of our Kuga drivers, and with joy we started to jump;
The best-selling plug-in
hybrid in Europe, 1 encouraging its owners to pass on the pump.
Plugging in on 71 per cent of
driving days, cutting down tailpipe emissions of CO2;
Looking toward an electrified
future, a win for Ford Model e™️ and Ford Blue™️.
February
We hit 2022 at speed, and in
February we only got faster;
With the high-performance version
of Europe’s best-selling pickup, 2 our next-gen Ranger Raptor.
Seven selectable drive modes,
3 and Ford Performance-developed suspension;
A twin-turbo 3.0-litre
EcoBoost V6, 4, 5 it certainly caught your attention.
We're used to beeps and
buzzes that can warn us of hazards;
But can these noises help us understand
where the obstacles are scattered?
Our Directional Audio Alert concept uses intuitive sounds; 3
Played through specific
speakers to highlight the dangers around.
March
We’re on a journey of
electrification, and in March we took another step;
Announcing seven new all-electric vehicles, none of which you’ll soon forget.
A transformation of our brand
in Europe, for a connected world – you see;
A new generation of Ford
vehicles, with a vision to be tailpipe emissions free.
Then, we revealed an icon,
making its way across the ocean;
Mustang California came to Europe, named after the state that is golden.
A powerful 5.0-litre V8,
5, 6 and a convertible roof for you to enjoy the sun;
We were excited this stunner made
its way here, why should America have all the fun?
April
If your business relies on
commercial vehicles, you know uptime and efficiency are key;
Our Ford Pro ecosystem provides integrated solutions – for enhanced productivity.
A one-stop-shop for all
things fleet related, reducing downtime by up to 60 per cent; 7
Take the time to see how it
could help your fleet, you’ll soon realise it was time well spent.
Helping to personalise insurance costs, we collaborated with providers;
Offering usage-based
insurance, that rewards good drivers.
They can assess your speed,
braking and how often you get behind the wheel;
With consent we will collect
this data, for premiums that are more congenial.
May
Every day, people make
journeys in their vehicle, some are near, and some are far;
In May, we took a new approach – urging our
customers to Park
the Car.
Leave
the car at home when you can, make shorter journeys by bike or with your feet;
It’s better for your health – plus you never know who you might meet.
Another statement of intent –
towards an electric future we continue to strive;
Ensuring that 100 per cent of vehicle sales, will be all-electric by
2035.
We later revealed the E-Transit Custom, the first all-electric version of Europe’s best-selling
van; 2, 8
Helping to encourage people
to effortlessly switch, if you think you can’t – well, you can.
June
Pushing the boundaries of
what is possible, and building on a speedy tradition;
In June, we went to Goodwood,
and unveiled our all-electric SuperVan edition. 9
2,000 horsepower and
ultra-high-tech, Goodwood-goers certainly enjoyed the show;
Advanced aerodynamics and lightweight
materials, showing the capabilities of Ford Pro.
Staying at Goodwood, we
wanted to show that just stating advocacy is not enough;
We took along our ‘Very Gay
Raptor’, and set out to help redefine ‘tough’.
With live sessions of our
‘Tough Talks’ series, we had conversations that need to be had;
Fostering inclusion in the
automotive industry, of which the following strongman would be glad…
July
July saw us continue our
mission for inclusion, showing it was not just the flavour of the day;
We took our famous ‘Very Gay Raptor’ to meet Rob Kearney, aka the ‘World’s Strongest Gay’.
Rob has strength that defies
belief, and not just the weights he lifts and pulls daily;
But for happily bearing the
pride flag wherever he goes, you could say he does so ‘gay-ly’.
We announced Mustang
California in Europe, and another icon was quick to follow;
To much excitement and
fanfare, came the off-road specialising new Bronco. 10
Drive modes to handle any
terrain, for tackling everything from mud to sand;
Ready for adventures of any
kind, a 4x4 that can meet any demand.
August
In August we began to trial
new tech, to help drivers keep their eyes on what’s ahead;
Our new headlights don’t just light the way, Santa could really use these on his sled.
They can project the weather
and road information, plus navigation instructions too;
Even faded markings such as a
crosswalk, helping other road users – not just you. 11
With the electric revolution
underway, combustion engines will become fewer and fewer;
Driving students will learn
in EVs, and Mustang Mach-E is already teaching drivers of the
future.
Three schools in Norway and
one in Holland, training the aptly named ‘Generation E’;
The Mustang Mach-E is the car
of the future you see, therefore training in the car will be key.
September
One of the most iconic cars
in history, and in September it returned with a bang;
Stunning in performance and
looks, the latest chapter in the book of Mustang.
Plus, a special edition, The
Mustang Dark Horse packs quite the bite;
A more powerful V8 engine
5, 12 – so make sure your saddle is fastened tight.
We excitedly brought you more
information about our pure electric E-Transit Custom;
Developed with productivity
and efficiency in mind, next Autumn we begin production.
380 km targeted range, 13
and the power to transport large loads;
It can carry up to 1,100 kg,
and tow up to 2,000 kg on the roads. 14
It’s time to say goodbye to the little car that has touched us all. The big moments, the little moments, and all the ‘firsts’ – thanks for the memories. #FarewellFiesta ๐

October
We care about mobility, and
know that it extends far beyond cars;
So, this Global Caring month we repaired old bikes, and put hands on handlebars.
Partnering with charities in
the UK and Germany, helping the disadvantaged and refugees;
Allowing them to move around
their cities more freely – and get them where they need.
After 46 years, we said Farewell Fiesta,
and thanks for all it has done;
There for big moments and
little moments, the sad, the happy, and the fun.
Driving lessons, school runs,
shopping trips, and first dates;
Visits to loved ones, new
arrivals, and road trips with your mates.
November
In November, we helped students create smart, and sustainable mobility
innovations;
With students from
universities across Europe being rewarded for their creations.
Bright ideas about mobility,
with helpful grants given to the winning teams;
Looking toward the future, so
every person is free to move and pursue their dreams.
We continued to electrify, and
revealed our E-Tourneo Custom with a smirk;
Our popular multi-activity
vehicle, the perfect partner for play and work.
From shuttling executives, to
loading up your family for an adventure;
The next-generation of
Tourneo, providing comfort for both business and leisure.
December
Sim racing is a sport that’s
growing, and Team Fordzilla is on the case;
Heading to SimRacing Expo, on
the Next Level Racing stand we took our place.
Someone special joined us, a
supersonic blue hedgehog with spikey hair;
With our P1 race car’s Sonic livery – they made quite the speedy pair.
We thought about how we are
evolving as a brand – a vision that has certainly shifted;
Bringing swagger to
electrification, our philosophy of Adventurous Spirit.
Our new north star, we are relentless
and uncompromising in all that we do;
Making electric iconic, and
ensuring that this passion is felt by all of you.
What a year it was, and next
year will be even better – you’ll see;
Happy Holidays to all of you
– and all the best for 2023.
